Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor offshore wind assets, analyze performance data, and drive remote diagnostics to keep turbines operating reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, resolve technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to safety and compliance. Fluency in English and EU relocation eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm under pressure, proactive mindset.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
