Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center in Wind Energy. The role is based in Barcelona, Spain, and involves monitoring offshore wind assets from a remote hub.

You will lead diagnostics, support commissioning and service activities, and collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to maintain safe, efficient turbine operations. Strong engineering background and wind energy experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, calm under pressure.
• Availability to travel up to 20% and EU work eligibility; willing to relocate to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with occasional on-call weekends/public holidays.
