Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to monitor offshore wind assets, diagnose issues, and optimize performance. You’ll work with site teams and engineers to ensure safe, reliable operation across the turbine lifecycle.

Key duties include remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration. Fluency in English and readiness to relocate to Barcelona are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; calm under pressure; collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
