Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations based in Barcelona to oversee the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote center. You will work with site teams to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring turbines perform reliably across their lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on wind energy experience, SCADA proficiency, and strong communication. You will participate in rotating shifts and on-call periods to support continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
