Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind). You will monitor offshore wind assets from a remote hub, troubleshoot, and drive continuous improvements to ensure reliable turbine performance.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree, have hands-on wind turbine experience, and are fluent in English. Travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona are expected; remote work within a designated center may apply depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and other digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and holidays.
