Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You’ll collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics, and contribute to continuous improvement while travelling up to 20% and relocating to Barcelona

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands‑on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on‑call rotation during weekends/public holidays.
