Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center in wind energy. You will monitor turbine performance from Barcelona, diagnose issues remotely, and guide field teams to restore performance.

The role spans commissioning and service phases with a focus on safety and reliability. You will collaborate with engineering teams, analyze data for faults and trends, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent in wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot field issues.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages with safety and compliance priorities.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/public holidays.
