Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in wind energy. You will monitor turbines remotely, analyze data, and troubleshoot issues to ensure safe, efficient operations across commissioning and service phases.

Responsibilities include remote diagnostics, field support collaboration, and escalation with clear technical details. You will work with multinational teams and may travel up to 20% as required, with relocation to Barcelona supported if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy sector
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication under pressure
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation for weekends/public holidays
