Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure reliable operation across the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with engineers and field teams, analyse data for faults and trends, and contribute to process improvements while upholding safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and clear technical communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU eligibility.
• Nice to have: offshore wind or commissioning experience.
• Nice to have: experience with advanced turbine control systems.
• Nice to have: experience in multicultural teams.
• Nice to have: Spanish language skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and trends.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on rotating weekday shift with on-call on weekends/holidays.
