Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee wind asset operations from the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will monitor turbines, diagnose issues, and guide field teams through complex troubleshooting with structured technical communication.

Collaborating with engineering and support teams, you will analyze data for faults and improvements, and participate in rotating weekday shifts with on-call duties. Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona, with EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
