Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona. You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure reliable offshore wind assets throughout their lifecycle.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to detect and resolve issues, analyze data for faults and trends, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends/public holidays.
