GMV in Madrid is offering an internship in Visual algorithms optimisation within the Defence and Security sector, focusing on navigation, guidance and positioning.

You will study and develop map-correlation algorithms for visual navigation, aiming to improve robustness under various camera orientations and geometric distortions in operational scenarios. Ideal candidates are Bachelor’s or Master’s students in STEM fields with a strong interest in computer vision and Python and/or C++.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree students in STEM fields with interest in visual navigation, computer vision and algorithm development.
• Knowledge of image processing, linear algebra, projective geometry and statistics.
• Experience or interest in programming with Python and/or C++.

Responsabilidades

• Study and develop alternative map-correlation algorithms for visual navigation, aiming to improve robustness under different camera orientations and distortions.
• Work on the study of map-correlation and image-to-map registration techniques, developing and evaluating matching algorithms using simulated and real flight data.
