A prominent technology group in Tres Cantos, Spain, is seeking a skilled engineer to develop algorithms for aeronautical navigation systems in the defence sector. You'll analyze and prototype navigation algorithms, manage data collection campaigns, and conduct post-processing analysis. Ideal candidates hold a degree in Industrial or Aeronautical Engineering and have a passion for aeronautical systems. The firm offers a hybrid working model, flexible hours, and a competitive compensation package.

Formación

  • Experience in algorithm development for aeronautical systems.

Overview

At GMV we are expanding our teams in the Defence sector to take on research and development projects focused on navigation algorithms for military systems. Challenge

As part of our team, you will contribute to develop algorithms for aeronautical navigation systems in the defence sector. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis of navigation algorithms, including processing and fusion of different sensors (i.e., inertial sensors, GNSS receivers, radio altimeter, air data, etc.).
  • Development of prototypes of navigation algorithms.
  • Development of data collection campaigns to evaluate algorithm performance.
  • Post‑processing and analysis of navigation algorithm data.
Qualifications

We are looking for Industrial/Aeronautical engineers or similar with experience in algorithm development and an interest in aeronautical systems. We will also value knowledge in:

  • Knowledge in navigation algorithms
  • Knowledge in algorithm prototyping (e.g., in MATLAB/Simulink)
  • Knowledge in software development (including programming in C/C++, Python, etc.)
  • Knowledge in avionics systems
  • Knowledge in navigation systems
