X-Press Feeders in Barcelona seeks an Operations professional to support vessel planning and cost control, acting as a bridge between Vessel Masters, line management, terminals, and agents. You will focus on optimizing stowage, monitoring consumption, and handling special cargo requests to ensure smooth operations.

The role includes overseeing port costs, SDR coordination, and contributing to business transformation initiatives related to EDI with terminals and customers.

Formación

• Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies / University graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across departments and stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to focus on tasks, analyze systems and problems quickly.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Line Manager on daily operational & commercial aspects.
• Maximise vessel stowage with minimal restows and safe operations.
• Monitor consumption parameters to keep vessels within margins.
• Screen special cargo requests and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Execute voyage instructions to new chartered vessels and ensure procedures.
• Monitor tugboats usage and justify necessity by regulation.
• Approve Adhoc Port / Terminal Costs (D/A).
• Coordinate and follow up Ship Damaged Reports (SDR) to minimize intake loss.
• Support Business Transformation initiatives, including EDI integration with terminals and customers.
