Job summary

FCC Medio Ambiente is seeking an experienced Especialista en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (PRL) to join its remote team. The role focuses on maintaining high safety standards across sites, with Vigo, Galicia as a regional emphasis while the position remains fully remote.

You will develop, implement, and monitor PRL policies, conduct risk assessments, and guide site teams and management from home. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent) and a 5+

• University degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent) in Spain.
• At least 5 years in a construction safety role.
• Knowledge of Spanish health and safety legislation for construction.
• Experience delivering safety training programs.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency with safety management software and common office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve health and safety management systems for construction sites nationwide, with Vigo focus.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections remotely or with on-site coordination.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide expert training to site managers, supervisors, and workers on safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with national and regional health and safety laws and standards.

• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into the planning and execution phases of construction projects.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and changes in occupational health and safety legislation and technology.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization, encouraging proactive safety behaviors.

Requirements

• University degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent official qualification in Spain).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Spanish health and safety legislation and its application in construction.
• Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
