Adecco Portugal is seeking an experienced Especialista en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (PRL) to join remotely, supporting construction sites nationwide with a focus on Vigo, Galicia. This role develops, implements, and monitors health and safety policies, conducts risk assessments, and provides expert guidance to site teams and management from a home office.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in occupational safety, a master’s in risk prevention, at least 5 years in construction

• University degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent official qualification in Spain).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety management systems for construction sites nationwide, focusing on Vigo.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections (remote where possible) to identify hazards and recommend controls.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training to site managers and workers on health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with national and regional health and safety legislation and standards.
• Prepare and maintain health and safety documentation and emergency plans.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into planning and execution.
• Stay updated on changes in occupational health and safety legislation and technology.

Requirements

• University degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent official qualification in Spain).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Spanish health and safety legislation and its application in construction.
• Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and standard office applications.
