Job summary

Acciona is seeking an experienced Specialist in Risk Prevention (PRL) to join our remote team. You will develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies across construction sites, with a focus on Vigo, Galicia from a home office.

The role requires 5+ years in PRL within construction, a Master’s in Occupational Risk Prevention, and the ability to train site teams and manage risk assessments remotely while ensuring compliance with Spanish health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• University degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent) in Spain is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar PRL role within construction.
• Knowledge of Spanish health and safety legislation for construction.
• Experience delivering safety training.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety management systems for construction sites nationwide, with Vigo focus.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections, remotely or coordinating on-site personnel.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and preventive actions.

• Stay updated on the latest developments and changes in occupational health and safety legislation and technology.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization, encouraging proactive safety behaviors.

Requirements

• University degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (or equivalent official qualification in Spain).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Spanish health and safety legislation and its application in construction.
• Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
