Axpo Group seeks a senior leader to set the technical direction for Microsoft 365, workplace devices, and AI tools that shape our work culture. You will lead a cross-location team of engineers, POs, and architects to deliver a unified digital experience across subsidiaries in our hybrid setup.

You will drive a strategic, hands-on approach with a focus on security, identity, and cloud infrastructure, while collaborating with global vendors and internal stakeholders.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT
• Experience in technical leadership or engineering management
• Strong understanding of device management and VDI
• Hybrid cloud and security principles
• Excellent communication with technical and business audiences
• Fluent in English; German a plus

Shape how thousands of colleagues collaborate every day. At Axpo, you'll set the technical direction for our Microsoft 365 platform, workplace devices, and the AI tools shaping the future of how we work – while leading a talented, cross-location team.

What you will do:

• Define and maintain the technical roadmap for Collaboration & Workplace, spanning Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace and device management, virtual desktop infrastructure (AVD and Omnissa), and Confluence.

• Lead and develop a team of around 20 engineers, product owners, and architects, with regular feedback, coaching, and upskilling.

• Drive operational excellence across all platforms together with Engineering and Operations, including KPIs and continuous improvement.

• Own the technical delivery of the One Digital Experience program, consolidating Axpo subsidiaries into a single Microsoft 365 tenant, starting with CKW.

• Shape the team's strategy for applying AI to collaboration and productivity, from commercial tools to custom-built applications.

• Act as the technical authority for architecture, engineering standards, and vendor relationships (Microsoft, Dell, Atlassian, Omnissa).

What you bring & who you are:

• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with a focus on Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace, or cloud infrastructure.

• Experience in a technical leadership or engineering management role, with direct responsibility for engineers or technical leads.

• Strong understanding of enterprise device management, virtual desktop infrastructure, and identity/security principles in hybrid cloud environments.

• A strategic mindset paired with the ability to stay hands‑on, plus strong communication skills with both technical and business audiences.

• Fluent in written and spoken English – German is a plus, but not required.
