Rayner Surgical Group is seeking a Surgical Equipment Specialist to promote, demonstrate and sell the Sophi Phaco machines across healthcare facilities in Iberia. You will build relationships with decision makers, lead pre-sales activities, and educate customers on the Sophi range while coordinating quotations and pricing strategies.

The role involves on-site demonstrations, training, and ongoing support in OR environments, with travel across a large territory.

Formación

• Proven track record in surgical equipment sales.
• Proven track record in ophthalmology sales.
• Strong understanding of cataract surgery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in Spanish/Portuguese and English (B2+).
• Willingness to travel and spend weeks demonstrating the Sophi range in the O.R.
• Clean driver’s license and ability to cover a large territory.

Responsabilidades

• Promote, demonstrate and sell Sophi Phaco machines to healthcare facilities.
• Lead pre-sales activities: cross-sell, wetlabs and on-site demos.
• Provide training, quotations, and pricing strategies.
• Demonstrate Sophi range in the O.R. during live surgeries and onboard the O.R. team.
• Provide first-line technical support and post-market surveillance.
• Maintain sale activity records and pipeline management.
• Represent the company at conferences and trade shows.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Surgical Equipment Specialist (SES) dedicated to our Sophi Phaco machine to join our dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting, demonstrating and selling our cutting-edge Sophi Phaco machines to healthcare facilities.They will also promote a full range of related consumable and disposable products.

This position requires a deep understanding of cataract procedures and the operating room environment and a proven track record in medical equipment sales.

This role is field-based in Iberia.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Formal training

• Successfully complete a formal training and certification program in Switzerland.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of our surgical equipment portfolio.

2. Relationship Building

• Build strong relationships with key decision makers in healthcare facilities.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.

3. Customer Education

• Educate customers on the features and benefits of the Sophi range of machines.

4. Quoting and proposal generation

• Work with internal stakeholders to prepare quotations and offerings to customers.
• Facilitate an appropriate pricing strategy for multi-product offerings.

5. Pre-sales:

• Identify cross-selling opportunities from the wider Rayner portfolio.
• Facilitate and lead wetlabs, on site demonstrations.

6. Clinical evaluation

• Demonstrate the Sophi range in the O.R. during live surgery, programming the devices in response to surgeon preference.
• Onboard the O.R. team over a period of several months.

7. After Sales:

• Provide first line technical support to HCPs, facilities, and colleagues.
• Provide post-market surveillance to support MDR.

8. Sales reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and pipeline management.

9. Attend conferences and trade shows.

• Represent the company and local and international trade shows where needed.

What Experience & Skills You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or marketing.
• Proven track record in surgical equipment sales.
• Proven track record in ophthalmology sales.
• Strong understanding of cataract surgery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and spend several weeks demonstrating the Sophi range in the O.R.
• Fluency in Spanish/Portuguese, andbusiness proficiency (B2 or higher) in English
• Clean driver's license and ability to cover a large territory.
