SET Europa is seeking a Subsea Telecoms Cable Engineer to support planning, engineering, installation, protection, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of submarine fibre-optic cable systems. The role interfaces with project owners, system suppliers, marine contractors and landing partners across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include marine survey, route engineering, procurement oversight, testing and acceptance, operations and maintenance, and comprehensive documentation

Formación

• Experience in submarine telecoms cable systems or offshore marine projects.
• Understanding of fibre-optic cable systems, repeatered systems, power feeding and landing infrastructure.
• Knowledge of marine survey, route engineering, burial and protection techniques.
• Familiarity with offshore installation methods and vessel-based activities.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to commercial, legal, regulatory and management teams.
• Experience with risk management, technical documentation and project reporting.
