ELSYS is seeking a Senior Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our international marine and offshore services team in Spain. You will diagnose, service and repair shipboard electrical systems, from propulsion to navigation, ensuring reliability in demanding environments.

Role involves planned maintenance, upgrades, and commissioning, with opportunities to mentor staff. Travel internationally on short notice is required, and you will collaborate with electrical and control design

Formación

• Sailed on ships in an ETO capacity.
• Degree educated or equivalent.
• Wide-ranging experience in fault finding, servicing, repair, retrofit, and commissioning.
• Expertise in shipboard electrical, automation, and navigation systems.
• A full clean driving licence is mandatory.
• Flexibility and autonomy.
• BOSIET training provided for offshore assignments.
• Must be prepared to travel internationally at short notice.

Responsabilidades

• Fault finding, repair (to component level), servicing and testing of all types of main and auxiliary equipment, from engine room to bridge.
• Procurement of spare parts and service work planning and scheduling.
• Planned maintenance, overhaul, upgrades and retrofits.
• Commissioning and setting to work of new and upgraded systems.
• Modifications to existing installations.
• Close collaboration with our electrical and control systems design department to plan, design and deliver both new and retrofit solutions.
• Training and mentoring of other personnel.

Your expertise will be crucial in carrying out field services, encompassing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various marine and offshore equipment. Responsibilities

The role will include, but not be limited to the following activities:

• Fault finding, repair (to component level), servicing and testing of all types of main and auxiliary equipment, from engine room to bridge: ranging from high power generation, distribution, switchgear and propulsion – to instrumentation, automation and navigation equipment
• Procurement of spare parts and service work planning and scheduling
• Planned maintenance, overhaul, upgrades and retrofits
• Commissioning and setting to work of new and upgraded systems
• Modifications to existing installations
• Close collaboration with our electrical and control systems design department to plan, design and deliver both new and retrofit solutions in marine propulsion and auxiliary plant, offshore production systems and offshore construction mission equipment
• Training and mentoring of other personnel

Job Requirements
