ELSYS is seeking an experienced Control Systems & Software Engineer to join our marine engineering department. The role involves taking the lead on design, commissioning, and client handovers for offshore equipment, and will require travel worldwide for commissioning and after-sales support.

You will prepare design documentation, liaise with purchasing and production, and ensure successful integration and site acceptance tests, while building strong customer relationships.

Formación

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, or related Electrical discipline.
• Experience designing marine/offshore equipment or strong ambition to do so.
• Experience commissioning and handing over systems to clients.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare project documentation including basis of design, functional design specs, FAT, SIT and SAT procedures.
• Create design concepts and detailed designs including I/O lists, alarms, reports, FMEA/CMECA.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for procurement specs and RFQs.
• Support Production by resolving documentation issues and helping create as-built docs.
• Lead startup, commissioning, FAT/SAT, site integration and acceptance testing as needed.
• Produce final project close-out documentation, drawings updates, and O&M manuals.
• Travel internationally for commissioning, site integration, and after-sales service.

We are seeking an experienced Control Systems & Software Engineer to join our growing marine engineering department. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in designing marine and offshore/subsea equipment or a strong ambition to do so. Additionally, experience in hands-on commissioning, including successful system handovers to clients, is highly valued. The role will be customer facing and you will act as an ambassador of the company, therefore we are looking for a motivated person that can form strong and long-lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities

The role will include, but not be limited to the following activities:

• Preparing project documentation including basis of design, detailed functional design specification, FAT, SIT and SAT procedures.
• Creating design concepts and producing detailed designs from them including (but not limited to) full lifecycle software design, I/O lists, alarms lists, design reports, cause & effect matrices & FMECA.
• Liaising with Purchasing for equipment procurement, preparing RFQs and technical procurement specifications.
• Liaising with Production, resolving design documentation issues and assisting with creation of as built documentation.
• Start up, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and where necessary site commissioning, site integration and site acceptance testing.
• Production of final project close out documentation package including drawing updates, O&M manuals, spare parts lists.
• With the international nature of our work, you will be expected to travel for short durations both in the UK and worldwide to support commissioning, site integration, site acceptance and after sales service activities.

Job Requirements

• Degree qualified in Marine Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, or a related Electrical discipline.
