Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in consultative sales, strategic business development, project pursuit, or related commercial roles within industrial/tech environments.
• Ability to identify and develop new customer relationships while strengthening established partnerships.
• Experience coordinating complex opportunities with multiple stakeholders and decision points.
• Understanding of how major industrial projects progress from concept to execution.
• Knowledge of operating models used by end users and EPC contractors.
• Ability to influence across functions without direct authority.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
• Sound commercial judgment including pricing, negotiation, risk, and value creation.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities in complex environments.
• Professional fluency in English.
• A technical degree or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
• Willingness to travel across Europe 30–50%.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify greenfield and complex project opportunities; maintain an accurate funnel and provide input for forecasting.
• Develop and execute winning pursuit strategies for large, multi-year projects from engagement to negotiations.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders including end users, EPC contractors, OEMs, licensors, and partners.
• Lead cross-functional pursuit teams with clear responsibilities and decision points.
• Understand customer value drivers and project dynamics to strengthen Emerson’s solutions.
• Create and communicate compelling project value propositions; engage specialists and sponsors.
• Lead project wave campaigns with sales, product management, and marketing.
• Coordinate with PMO and other functions to develop competitive proposal strategies and bid cases.
• Develop pricing and negotiation strategies; identify additional opportunities after PO.
• Coach sales teams and share best practices and outcomes.
