Ebury is seeking exceptional Staff Software Engineers to join our Madrid engineering division. This role focuses on leading the design and evolution of large-scale, business-critical systems within our global fintech platform while collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to translate business goals into robust technical solutions.

You will operate across the full lifecycle, mentor engineers, and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.

Formación

• Proven ability to design, write, and evolve high-quality software in one or more modern programming languages.
• Experience building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership across one or more critical domains, owning the design and evolution of large-scale, business-critical systems within our global financial platform.
• Set architectural direction by leading system design, making high-leverage technical decisions, and driving alignment on long-term technology strategy across teams.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to translate business outcomes into scalable, resilient technical solutions.
• Operate across the full system lifecycle, from discovery to production operations, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Mentor senior engineers to multiply impact beyond your own code.
• Identify systemic risks and drive initiatives to improve velocity, quality, and resilience.
• Champion engineering excellence in testing, CI/CD, observability, and security.
• Lead by example in modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools.
