Ebury Group in Madrid is seeking exceptional and highly motivated Staff Software Engineers to join our engineering division. This role offers meaningful ownership of critical systems and the opportunity to shape the future of a leading FinTech platform.

You will collaborate with engineers, product designers, and product managers to tackle the hardest problems, drive architectural decisions, and mentor others as part of a strong engineering leadership team.

Formación

• Evidence of continuous learning and technical depth in CS or equivalent
• Experience in fintech or financial services
• Extensive experience building and operating production systems at scale
• Strong fundamentals in CS concepts and pragmatic application
• Proven ability to design, write, and evolve high-quality software
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Collaborative leadership and mentoring experience

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership across critical domains, owning large-scale systems
• Set architectural direction and drive long-term technology strategy
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions
• Own full system lifecycle from discovery to production operations and cost optimisation
• Raise engineering standards and mentor senior engineers to multiply impact
• Identify systemic risks, technical debt, and cross-team dependencies early
• Champion testing strategies, CI/CD, observability, and security
• Lead by example with AI-assisted development and ownership of solutions
