Omya, a global leader in industrial minerals, seeks an accounting professional to manage monthly closings, GL accounts, intercompany activities, and asset/lease accounting. You will ensure accurate VAT reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash forecasting while coordinating with finance teams across regions.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accounting/finance, have strong analytical skills, experience with intercompany reconciliation, and a good command of English.

Formación

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience in Intercompany Reconciliation.
• Good level of English.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP).
• Organizational and time management skills, good communication, and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and lead monthly closing tasks and related activities.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, accruals, provisions and prepayments.
• Handle intercompany accounting and asset leasing accounting.
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Monitor cash flow forecasts and cash reporting processes.
• Oversee VAT reporting schedules and payment approvals.
• Resolve issues detected in quality controls (VAT code, currency, etc.).
• Maintain end-to-end view of the accounting process.

Main Responsabilities

• Coordination and collaboration of monthly closing tasks, leading the activities concerning the closing
• Responsible for the general ledger accounts and its journal entries, including accruals, provisions, and prepayments, balance sheet reclassifications and revaluations, VAT offset, Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet review prior to the production of the monthly financial accounts;
• Intercompany accounting;
• Asset accounting (depreciations) and lease accounting
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining the supporting documentation concerning the Balance Sheet reconciliations;
• Cash Reporting. Supervise the preparation of cash flow forecasts.
• Resolve issues detected in quality controls (e.g. VAT code, currency, legal entity…)
• Preparation of VAT Reporting schedules for approval.
• Monitoring payment runs and managing bank payment approvals.
• Have an end-to-end view.

Qualifications & Skills

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of Accounting principles
• Experience in Intercompany Reconciliation
• Good level of English
• Knowledge of our ERP systems (especially SAP)
• Organizational and time management skills, good communication, and attention to detail.
