Omya in Barcelona is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist to support multiple country entities within a hybrid work model. You will validate and post invoices, respond to vendor queries, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely payments.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in finance/administration, at least 1 year in accounting, and experience with SAP. Fluency in English (B2) is required, Italian is a plus.

• University degree in finance/administration (ideal, not a must).
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts.
• Fluent in English (B2) good command of both oral & written.
• Advanced proficiency in Italian is ideal.

Responsabilidades

• Be in charge of validating and posting invoices following company guidelines and processes, fulfilling country legal requirements and controls for the countries assigned.
• Resolve internal and external queries (payment status, general information, vendor reconciliation).
• Perform the assigned tasks and work with other streams for month-end closing.
• Provide support and build a professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolve issues detected in quality controls (e.g. VAT code, currency, legal entity).

Specifically, the Accounts Payable department is responsible for processing vendor invoices and queries in line with established service-level agreements to ensure timely payments and accurate financial reporting. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Beinchargeofvalidatingandpostinginvoicesfollowingcompanyguidelinesandprocesses,fulfillingcountrylegalrequirementsandcontrolsforthecountriesassigned.
• Resolveinternalandexternalqueries(paymentstatus,generalinformation,vendorreconciliation)
