Job summary

CloudPay Technology Limited in Barcelona is seeking a skilled Spanish Payroll Specialist to own the full payroll cycle and ensure compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver accurate payroll services and maintain thorough records.

The role requires extensive experience with Spanish payroll processing, social security submissions, and tax declarations, along with strong communication in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience managing end-to-end Spanish payroll.
• Deep knowledge of Spanish payroll legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Experience with benefits-in-kind, flexible remuneration, stock options/RSUs, and non-resident employee scenarios.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English (minimum English level: B2).
• Proficiency with core tools including Excel, Word, email, and Google Apps.
• Confident decision-making and proactive planning, able to manage priorities independently.
• Familiarity with Wolters Kluwer A3 software and SUMAR is a plus.
• Exposure to international payroll environments is beneficial.
• Willingness to attend the Barcelona office three times per month.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing according to the monthly payroll calendar.
• Collaborate with Operations to validate and reconcile payroll inputs and reports.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies prior to processing; review outputs for accuracy.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation for audit and compliance.
• Prepare and upload monthly payroll reports to the CloudPay platform.
• Manage communications and submissions related to Spanish Social Security via SILTRA, CONTRAT@, CERTIFIC@, and DELTA.
• Oversee monthly Social Security contribution submissions and address delays.
• Coordinate calculation and timely submission of tax declarations to AEAT (models 111, 216, 190, 296, 345).
• Support payroll testing and parallel runs for new client implementations or system changes.
• Work with Implementation to ensure smooth transition of new payroll accounts to in-house team.
• Contribute to setup and configuration validations to ensure client data is complete and accurate for payroll delivery.
