AWS ESC team at Amazon Madrid seeks experienced systems engineers to lead the European Sovereign Cloud initiative, focusing on automation and high‑availability operations. You will help build, operate, and evolve the services that deliver reliable AWS capabilities for EU customers.

Join a global operations culture, contribute to incident response, and mentor teams while driving improvements in performance, latency and efficiency. Fluency in English and EU residence are required.

Formación

• Experience in Linux OS and networking troubleshooting or administration.
• Experience with Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
• Background in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, and operating large-scale systems.
• Ability to lead the creation, revision, and improvement of SOPs and drive operational best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of the ESC, working with global teams.
• Collaborate with technology leaders to improve availability, reliability, latency, performance and efficiency.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations to resolve incidents and ensure fault-tolerant systems.
• Develop and test automation scripts to enhance workflows and system reliability.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing about the European Sovereign Cloud to service teams.
