Job summary

Freyrecruitment is seeking a Sole Engineer for a 35m performance sailing yacht operating a private/charter program with a busy Mediterranean summer ahead. The role is full-time and involves managing the technical side of the yacht under the guidance of the Captain.

The successful candidate should have solid engineering or technical background (even if new to yachting), be willing to learn, and take ownership of the yacht's systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum AEC 1 & 2 certification.
• Previous engineering or technical experience.
• STCW and ENG1 certificates are required.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of all yacht systems.
• Maintain and implement the routine maintenance program and preventative servicing.
• Work closely with the Captain and crew to ensure smooth operations across the season.
• Take responsibility for the yacht's technical performance during the Mediterranean program.
