Electronic Arts in Madrid seeks a Senior Systems Software Engineer for EA SPORTS to architect and scale core engine systems in Unreal Engine for the American Football franchise. You will join a collaborative team that aims to improve performance, memory footprint, and stability while enabling live-service updates and data synchronization across teams.

You will report to the Technical Director and contribute to scalable systems that empower development teams and delight players worldwide.

Formación

• 10+ years of C++ experience for large-scale systems.
• 5+ years of Unreal Engine architecture, performance, memory, and multi-threading.
• Experience with parallel programming and multi-processor hardware.
• Advanced debugging skills for client/server multiplayer games, including profiling Unreal Engine.

Responsabilidades

• Develop complex engine systems in Unreal Engine, aligning with technical roadmaps and team goals.
• Define and manage per-system frame budgets, establish performance metrics, and guide teams to meet benchmarks.
• Implement and scale foundational engine systems for a performance-critical, networked game architecture.
• Create data-driven systems to support live service updates, including asset streaming and patching strategies.
