Mob Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own core gameplay and engine-adjacent systems end-to-end for upcoming Unreal Engine projects. You will design, build, and maintain scalable systems, plugins, and multiplayer features while mentoring a growing team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in game development or 2+ shipped AAA titles, focused on systems or gameplay.
• Strong knowledge of data-driven architecture and modular design.
• Proven Unreal Engine gameplay programming experience.
• Experience designing Unreal Engine plugins.
• Solid multiplayer/networked gameplay experience (replication, RPCs, optimization).
• Proficient in C++ and Blueprints; mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core gameplay systems and frameworks used across the project.
• Develop and maintain Unreal Engine plugins for project tooling and gameplay needs.
• Architect and implement multiplayer/networked gameplay systems with robust replication and debugging.
• Own technical decisions, balancing production needs with performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with designers to translate gameplay into tunable systems.
• Identify risks and drive debt reduction early; mentor junior engineers.
• Lead code reviews, participate in sprint planning, and document architectures.
