Job summary

EF Games in Madrid is seeking a Senior Programmer to develop and optimize core systems for our online multiplayer game. You will implement networking features and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality gameplay.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years in game programming, AA/AAA shipped titles, and Madrid-based hybrid work (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). Fluency in Spanish is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core systems and gameplay features for an online game.
• Implement and manage networking features for performance and scalability, ensuring robust multiplayer functionality.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers to ensure seamless integration of features.
• Debug and resolve complex issues related to gameplay, networking, and performance.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of the game’s codebase.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior programmers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in online multiplayer gaming.
• Ensure the game’s code meets high-quality standards and is well-documented.
