Siemens Gamesa in Bilbao is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our R&D Drivetrain team. You will develop wind turbine components from concept through validation and support production and test campaigns, collaborating with a diverse project team across functions.

Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering degree, 5+ years in product development and structural design, and expert knowledge of Ansys, Workbench, APDL, and Abaqus. English proficiency is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in product development and structural design.
• Advanced proficiency in FEA software: Ansys, Workbench, APDL and Abaqus.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter Siemens PLM and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure component designs meet structural integrity requirements within cost and size constraints.
• Own structural calculations and documentation, collaborating with designers to guarantee integrity.
• Advise designers on concepts and details to improve project quality.
• Prepare project deliverables including modeling and calculation reports and support certification processes.
