Nordex Group in Madrid is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to serve as the technical reference for assessing and solving complex structural challenges across our wind turbine fleet.

You will verify concrete and steel tower components, collaborate with internal and external experts and suppliers, and design or evaluate tubular steel, concrete and hybrid towers. You will prepare professional calculations, reports and project deliverables in line with our standards.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Experience with IEC 61400-6, Eurocodes, Model Codes, and DIBt guidelines.
• Experience with finite element analysis (Ansys, Abaqus).
• Knowledge of bolted flange connections, pretensioning systems, and fatigue analysis.
• Python programming skills are a strong asset.
• Strong communication in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English; German/Spanish a plus.
• At least 5 years in similar engineering roles.
• Occasional travel required.
• Foreign qualifications recognized as Spanish equivalents.

Responsabilidades

• Perform structural verifications for concrete and steel towers in wind projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external experts and suppliers to drive robust engineering solutions.
• Design and evaluate tubular steel, concrete and hybrid towers and anchor cages.
• Prepare high-quality technical documentation, including reports and calculations to internal standards.
• Lead root cause analyses for field issues and implement fast, cost-effective solutions on site.
• Engage in reducing the cost of energy and increasing productivity in tower development.
• Focus on lessons learned and standardization where possible.
