Job summary

BayWa r.e. Solar Systems SLU is seeking a commercially driven professional based in Portugal to grow the Iberian market by developing new business opportunities and strengthening the regional partner network.

You will lead bid processes, negotiate deals, and act as a technical reference for clients and investors, while collaborating with Operations and Key Account Managers to generate new opportunities.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, business administration, or economics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in photovoltaic solar energy with technical expertise.
• Established network within solar industry, project development, construction, or electricity retail.
• Excellent communication, autonomy, and initiative.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems (SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand regional network of installers and project designers for self-consumption solar.
• Lead quotation, proposal, and commercial negotiations for new projects.
• Act as technical reference point for clients, investors, and the sales team.
• Identify and onboard new commercial partners to accelerate growth.
• Advise management on market dynamics, customer needs, and opportunities in the region.
• Contribute to product and procurement strategy as part of the new business development team.
• Collaborate with Operations and Key Account Managers, transferring established accounts and generating new business opportunities.
