Flix is seeking a Regional Operations Manager based in Madrid to oversee all operational topics for Spain-based bus partners. You will lead onboarding, training, safety, and service quality, while coordinating with internal teams and external partners to maintain high standards and strong partnerships.

You will analyze KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and support field activities to ensure brand integrity and excellent customer service.

Formación

• 6+ years in Operations or a dynamic daily environment (handling daily incoming requests with long-term projects).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze reports, draw conclusions and propose solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Manage operational topics related to bus partners, including onboarding, training, and safety/quality standards.
• Train, support and develop drivers and conduct regular inspections of buses.
• Monitor KPIs and provide actionable recommendations to improve partner performance and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with Flixbus procedures and protocols.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and strong partnerships.
• Oversee launches and improvements of new lines and stops; ensure readiness and adherence to standards.
• Support field activities to uphold brand image and customer service excellence.
• Lead cross-functional projects to improve passenger and driver experience and overall network performance.
• Plan to obtain Transport Manager Certification within one year (cost covered by Flix).

We're looking for a motivated and driven Regional Operations Manager (m/f/d) based in Madrid who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success. You will be working in an international team and responsible for managing all operational topics concerning Flixbus’ bus partners based in Spain.

About the Role

• Manage all operational topics related to bus partners, including onboarding, training, and maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and punctuality.
• Train, support, and develop drivers of bus partners, conducting regular inspections of buses to meet quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations to enhance partner performance and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with Flixbus procedures and protocols.
• Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Line Planning, Business Development) and external stakeholders (e.g., coach operators, infrastructure providers) to ensure seamless operations and strong partnerships.
• Oversee the launch and continuous improvement of new lines and stops, ensuring operational readiness and alignment with FlixBus standards.
• Conduct regular field inspections and support bus partners’ drivers and supervisors to uphold brand image and customer service excellence.
• Lead and support cross-functional operational projects focused on enhancing the passenger and driver experience, contributing to continuous improvement across the network.
• Take part in cross-functional operational projects.
• Plan to obtain the Transport Manager Certification within one year (cost covered by Flix).

About You

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Operations or a dynamic daily environment (handling daily incoming requests with long-term projects to develop).
• Spanish (native/proficient speaker level) is must, highly fluent in English. Language skills will be tested.
• Ability to adequately deal with different stakeholders (bus drivers, operations supervisors) with high social and negotiation skills.
• Know how to analyze reports, draw conclusions, and provide solutions based on that.
• Trustworthiness, engagement, and flexibility as well as a hands-on mentality.
• Organized, independent, reliable and responsible working style.
• Willing to regular travel around Spain.
• Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
