Preply in Barcelona seeks a Senior Platform Software Engineer in the R&D Automation team to blend backend software craftsmanship with hands-on AI expertise, building agentic systems that change how software is developed.

You design AI agents using Python, connect them to our engineering tools, and drive rapid experimentation while ensuring reliability, scalability, and clear context/verification.

Formación

• Extensive backend design and delivery experience.
• Production Python engineering experience.
• Hands-on AI agents or agentic platforms experience.
• Understanding of agentic AI patterns and verification.
• Experience integrating AI with APIs and internal tools.
• Ability to move ideas from experimentation to scalable solutions.
• Strong data-driven approach to evaluating value.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build AI agents and the harness powering them using Python.
• Create reusable agent capabilities, tools and integrations with our ecosystem.
• Develop agentic workflows across Engineering, Product, Design and Data.
• Experiment rapidly with AI capabilities from concept to scalable adoption.
• Design context, orchestration and verification for reliable agentic workflows.
• Measure usage and value of agents, using data to improve them.
• Decide where AI adds value and where human input remains essential.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product and data teams to drive adoption.
