Clarivate in Barcelona is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - AI Product development to join the AI Engineering team. You will build scalable AI-powered software using Python, cloud technologies, microservices, and LLM-based applications.

You will collaborate in a small team, shape backend architecture, mentor engineers, and drive reliability and production readiness in a fast-paced environment with CET hours and hybrid office schedule.

Formación

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 4 years developing backend systems in Python (APIs, microservices, ETL).
At least 5 years of experience working in cross-functional, agile teams, collaborating with Product, Cloud Ops, Architecture, Engineering, and SMEs.
At least 3 years of experience working with LLMs or agentic AI applications, with demonstrable understanding of their reliability challenges.

Responsabilidades

Scoping and shaping AI platform initiatives for LS&H products, from concept to implementation, influencing technical direction.
Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, APIs, microservices, and ETL pipelines in Azure or AWS.
Translating requirements into high-quality code and working proofs-of-concept.
Collaborating with Cloud Operations, Solution Architecture, Product Engineering, Product Management, and SMEs.
Building and iterating LLM-based or agentic AI applications with reliability and quality.
Testing, validating, and improving solutions through unit tests and automation.
Leading the technical approach on assigned work from design to production.
