UST seeks a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Lead Engineer for a strategic banking project in Madrid. You will lead Oracle PL/SQL development, manage complex SQL, and ensure reliability of an IT service in a regulated wealth-management environment.

The role combines hands-on technical leadership with ownership of end-to-end service operations, in a hybrid setting with office presence in Madrid center.

Formación

• Senior-level Oracle PL/SQL experience on Oracle Database 19c, incl. upgrades/migrations.
• Proficient in PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end IT service delivery as IT Service Owner.
• Support and evolve the banking IT service in a regulated environment.

? What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Lead Engineer with a strong background in the banking industry. This role requires a highly autonomous professional who can take ownership, proactively solve complex challenges, and operate independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

You will join a strategic project with a global client in the wealth management sector, taking on a combined role as IT Service Owner and senior technical contributor, ensuring the end-to-end operation, evolution, and reliability of the IT service.

Location: Hybrid. Madrid city center (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office.

Language: English is a must. Spanish desirable.

Required Experience

• Senior-level experience with Oracle PL/SQL on Oracle Database 19c, including participation in Oracle upgrade, modernization, or migration projects. The current initiative involves a strategic migration from Oracle Database 17 to Oracle Database 19c, making hands-on experience with Oracle 19c essential. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in compatibility assessments, PL/SQL code optimization, performance tuning, and support throughout database upgrade processes.

Strong experience in:

• Development and maintenance of PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Designing and developing complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
• Building, maintaining, and enhancing system integration interfaces.
• Mandatory experience with enterprise messaging technologies, particularly Kafka and/or IBM MQ, within high-volume, mission-critical integration environments.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging.
• Understanding of investment products and financial instruments.
• Experience within financial markets or capital markets environments.

Work schedule

Business Hours. No intensive working days for friday or summer.
