Nextpower in Spain seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D&I team. You will develop the mechanical architecture for inverters and electrical cabinets, focusing on heat dissipation, packaging, and compliance with standards.

The role requires 8+ years in mechanical design of capital goods or power electronics, proficiency in 3D CAD and thermal/structural simulation, and strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s or specialization highly desirable.
• 8+ years in mechanical design of capital goods, electrical cabinets, or power electronics.

Responsabilidades

• 3D Modelling and Drawings: design enclosure, support structures, ventilation ducts, busbar mounting systems.
• Thermal Simulation (CFD): optimize heat sinks and cooling systems.
• Structural Analysis (FEA): validate chassis strength against transport stresses, IK ratings, vibrations.
• Material Selection: choose aluminium, steel, or plastics considering cost, weight, and dielectric properties.
• DFMA: apply design-for-manufacturing-and-assembly to ensure watertightness (IP ratings).
