Nextpower in Valencia seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design the physical architecture of inverters and electrical cabinets, ensuring manufacturability, packaging efficiency and robust heat dissipation.

You will lead 3D CAD work, thermal and structural simulations (CFD/FEA), select materials, and apply DFMA to meet environmental, vibration, IP ratings, and safety requirements. Fluent in Spanish and English, with 8+ years in capital goods or power electronics.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years in mechanical design of capital goods, electrical cabinets, power electronics, or automotive industry.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with thermal and structural simulation tools desirable.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, casting, plastic injection moulding, machining).

Responsabilidades

• 3D Modelling and Drawings: design enclosure, support structures, ventilation ducts, and busbar mounting systems.
• Thermal Simulation (CFD): optimize heat sinks and cooling systems.
• Structural Analysis (FEA): validate chassis strength against stresses and vibrations.
• Material Selection: choose materials considering cost, weight, corrosion, and dielectric properties.
• Tolerance Management and DFMA: ensure watertightness and IP ratings.
