Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Head of Engineering for High-Power Electronics in Valencia, Spain. You will lead the Electromechanical Engineering department, directing design, validation and implementation of power converters, drives and energy conversion solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (power electronics PhD desirable), 12+ years in industrial design, and 5+ years leading teams, with fluency in

Qualifications

• 12+ years in design and detailed engineering of industrial electromechanical projects.
• At least 5 years leading work teams.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering design of high-power electronics and HV systems.
• Oversee mechanical design and thermal management, 3D modelling and cooling simulations.
• Manage department budget and KPIs; drive technical roadmaps and changes.
• Ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, quality and safety standards.
