Job summary

AGAP2 is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) / Automation Design Specialist to join our Engineering Division in a hybrid role based in Fano/Genova, Italy. You will oversee technical execution and coordination of I&C and automation projects, interfacing with clients, vendors, and internal teams, and may supervise a dedicated team to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Electronics or Automation, 8+ years in engineering environments, and proficiency in

Qualifications

Master’s degree in electronics, automation or related discipline.
8+ years of relevant professional experience in EPC or engineering design consultancies.
Experience in instrumentation, control, safety, and automation systems for industrial projects.
Proficiency with Instrucalc and SPI.
Knowledge of C# and C++ is a plus.
Fluency in Italian and English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute I&C and automation engineering activities across all project phases.
Develop and coordinate designs for instrumentation, control, safety, F&G, and telecom systems.
Interface with other disciplines, clients, and vendors as technical representative.
Review engineering documents for accuracy and standards compliance.
Prepare CAPEX estimates and support procurement activities.
Coordinate with vendors and ensure contract requirements are met.
Participate in HAZID/HAZOP and SIL workshops as the I&C discipline lead.
Provide commissioning support and troubleshoot instrumentation and automation issues.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best engineering practices.
Contribute to development and improvement of engineering standards.
