Job summary

Jobgether is sourcing a Senior ICT Technician for a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will own IT operations, from end-user devices to IAM, Linux server admin, and incident response, while driving automation with Ansible and IaC tooling.

The role emphasizes security, GDPR alignment, and open-source collaboration, with strong autonomy to shape IT processes and vendor management across international colleagues.

Qualifications

• Several years of IT administration or similar technical support experience in a remote-first or distributed organization.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Strong Linux administration, server maintenance, troubleshooting, and firewall configuration.
• Cross-platform support across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Experience administering Google Workspace, SSO, MFA, and password management.
• Ability to write Bash, Python, or similar scripts to automate tasks.
• Knowledge of GDPR and information security frameworks is desirable.
• Excellent written English communication for collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage End-User IT Support: setup, configure, and maintain employee computers across macOS, Windows, Linux.
• Own Identity and Access Management: administer Google Workspace, SSO, MFA, password management.
• Maintain Internal IT Systems: ensure availability and secure operation of internal apps and services.
• Support Server Infrastructure: collaborate to maintain secure server environments, Linux admin, firewall config.
• Automate IT Operations: develop automation for provisioning, patching, onboarding/offboarding with Ansible and scripts.
• Manage SaaS Tools and Vendors: oversee configuration, licensing, renewals, and costs of Slack, Jira, Google Workspace, etc.
• Strengthen Security & Compliance: define internal security standards and GDPR alignment.
• Respond to Security Incidents: investigate and coordinate remediation and follow-up actions.
• Maintain Documentation & Self-Service: document systems, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Continuously Improve IT Operations: identify opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce manual work.
