Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to join our Linear Infrastructures team in Madrid. The role focuses on roadway geometric design and leading highway projects, from feasibility through detailed design, across diverse regions including North America and Australia.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment. You should have 5+ years in highway design, strong CAD/3D modeling skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Must have proven highway design experience and strong geometric design skills.
• Familiarity with international standards and regulations is required.
• Advanced CAD/3D modeling skills with the specified software tools.

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously on highway design projects.
• Prepare design calculations and reports related to linear infrastructure elements.
• Lead the design of roadway projects and coordinate with drainage, bridges, and other disciplines.
• Perform highway engineering work within budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
• Conduct self-checks and participate in quality control reviews of documents.
• Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
