Job summary

UST España & Latam is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own end‑to‑end features on a 100% remote project for a leading client in the Spanish banking sector. You will design, build and maintain scalable APIs and microservices.

Requires strong Java, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, AWS, CI/CD, automated testing, and solid English (minimum B2). Spanish language skills are a plus.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with more than 5 years of experience, strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and React, and the ability to take end-to-end ownership of features.

You will join a 100% remote project, working with one of our clients, a leading company in the Spanish banking sector. We are looking for solid experience with AWS, CI/CD, REST APIs, and automated testing, as well as a B2 level of English or higher.

Location:

100% Remote for candidates based in Spain.

Language:

English is a must. Spanish desirable.

Main requirements:

• More than 5 years of software development experience, with the ability to work independently on Full Stack solutions and take end-to-end ownership of features.
• Strong experience developing APIs and microservices with Java / Spring Boot, including the design, implementation, integration, and evolution of REST APIs.
• Hands‑on experience developing and modifying Frontend applications with React, including API integration and the evolution of existing applications.
• Experience developing or modifying mobile applications would be a plus.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and technologies such as JPA / Hibernate.
• Experience working with AWS and cloud architectures.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with CI/CD, pipeline automation, quality gates, testing, and deployment processes.
• Experience with testing beyond unit testing, including integration testing, API testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing. Experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman/Newman, or similar would be a plus.
• Experience with Git, Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Knowledge of hexagonal, decoupled, and event‑driven architectures.
• Ability to work end‑to‑end on a feature, making changes when necessary across the different layers: React → API → microservices → persistence → integration → testing → deployment.
• Experience applying Artificial Intelligence to the software development lifecycle will be highly valued, for example through AI‑assisted coding tools, code generation and review, test generation, documentation, analysis/troubleshooting, or improving development productivity.
• A good level of English is mandatory (minimum B2), with the ability to communicate confidently in an international professional environment, including conversations, technical documentation, and meetings. Native or equivalent level of Spanish is also required.
