Job summary

TFS HealthScience is a global mid-size CRO seeking a Senior Director Business Development - DIID. This home-based role covers dermatology, immunology and inflammatory diseases across multiple European countries.

You will lead business development strategy, client retention, and bids, coordinating the internal team and driving revenue growth while maintaining strong sponsor relationships and market awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or highly relevant industry experience.
• Minimum of seven years in clinical research and/or sales.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills required.
• Excellent communication and leadership across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with CRO business and sales processes.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, coordinate and develop strategic plans and sales strategies within a territory or accounts.
• Meet annual sales goals and objectives.
• Identify new business sales opportunities and respond to RFIs/RFPs with internal support.
• Facilitate preparedness of the TFS team for client meetings and bids.
• Coordinate and monitor budget and contract negotiations post award.
• Establish and maintain regular contact with future and current clients.
• Organize and prepare sponsor presentations and collect data for proposals.
• Lead RFI response / proposal generation for opportunities.
• Manage costs and submit claims in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with operations, track study status and coordinate change orders.
• Monitor competitor CRO activities and plan major events/tradeshows.
• Develop account strategies and expansion within accounts.
• Identify new markets and opportunities within territory.
• Record activities in Salesforce and mentor junior staff.
• Support Head of BD in their role and ensure transparent communication.
• Provide reports for senior management and adhere to SOPs.
