Preply is seeking a Senior Data Scientist - Insights to influence product strategy in Barcelona. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver data‑driven insights and shape the roadmap of a rapidly growing learning marketplace.

You will design experiments, analyze user behavior, and quantify feature impacts. The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, storytelling with data, and a strong focus on retention and monetization strategies.

Formación

• Experience in data analytics with product teams, experimenting and uncovering opportunities for product optimisation.
• Experience designing and analysing A/B tests with a strong grasp of relevant statistical concepts.
• Strong understanding of data analysis concepts such as conversion, LTV, cohort analysis, retention.
• Proficiency in SQL or Python, with ability to write efficient and scalable code.
• Ability to craft compelling stories with data and communicate insights to stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Develop a deep understanding of the dynamics of our product, including user behavior and the economics of Preply’s marketplace.
• Focus on the continuous improvement of our platform by gathering and analysing data to uncover valuable insights that will shape product evolution and strategy.
• Analyse customer behavior and product usage, improve understanding of drivers of retention and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Quantify and model the impact of new product features and initiatives, identifying growth opportunities and helping prioritise the product roadmap.
• Help define KPIs, tracking events, and engagement metrics aligned with business goals.
• Design, execute, and evaluate large‑scale experiments to test ideas and measure their impact on business outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with data and technical leaders to drive cross‑team collaboration.
