Jobgether partners with a Spain-based team to recruit a Senior C++ Software Engineer. The role centers on developing high-performance C++ software within a ROS2-based embedded vision and sensor-fusion platform for intelligent traffic systems.

You will design, implement, and optimize core components, integrate multiple sensors, and contribute to architecture decisions while mentoring peers. Remote-friendly with broad tech exposure.

Qualifikationen

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience with C++.
• Advanced proficiency in C++17/20, including memory management, multithreading and performance-focused coding.
• Practical experience developing robotic applications with ROS2, including architecture and communication mechanisms.
• Hands-on sensor integration in embedded vision, robotics, or sensor-fusion systems.
• Experience with distributed, component-based architectures using pub/sub or message-based communication.
• Strong Linux debugging, profiling, and performance analysis capabilities.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Containerisation with Docker in development/build environments.
• Excellent English communication and ability to own complex tasks.
• Nice to have: ROS2 nodes and Python tooling; familiarity with Yocto, Kubernetes, CI/CD.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and maintain core components using Modern C++ within a ROS2 framework.
• Integrate multiple sensors and third-party components into an embedded vision and sensor-fusion platform.
• Build distributed applications using pub/sub patterns for reliable data exchange.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and design scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and stability.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimise runtime performance, memory usage, and concurrency.
• Debug and troubleshoot Linux-based systems using profiling and debugging tools.
• Manage container images and Docker configurations for development and target platforms.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and drive continuous improvement across the project.
